Flora Learns To Sing!
WARNING: This game contains disturbing images and is not meant to be played by children.
The wind blowed all of the petals of Flora, a wandering flower, and they ended up in Meatos's Swamp!
Meatos is a music instructor plant, and seems very nice! He says he will teach her to sing well so the petals can return... What could go wrong?

This game was made for the GBJam 10, with the theme "Plants".
The game has two versions: the one that was finished during the gamejam period, and the version fixing some bugs and with more polish, which is also available to play in browser.

What if you can beat the game without singing correctly and get them all wrong. I mean, Meatos gets faster every time you get a note wrong, so maybe it is possible? 🤔
I tried beating it while failing (almost) every note, and Meatos does goes really fast to the point you can't out run its grasp. The good thing is there's a minigame if you get caught. You can't quite spam it like normally, but if you beat the minigame before Meatos eats you, you can run a tiny bit further before being grabbed again, though it seems to get more difficult each time you get caught, resulting in moments where it was a close call. Btw the pitch of the music gets really low lol
Almost got a 0% correct note run, but failed the captured minigame right at the end :P
I FINALLY BEAT THIS AFTER SO MANY TRIES. YAY!

Really enjoyed the game, the GB style and the gameplay. Made a vidya and had wished the game was.longer, awesome.stuff though :D

Really nice game but just realized the game kinda plays out like baldi's basics.
With the antagonist(Baldi/Meatos) faking like a friend and nice guy, passing you really easy tests with the 2nd one ending with an impossible note from which the antagonist starts chasing you and getting faster for every mistake. At the end, they congratulate you before threatening you and chasing you back to where you came in full force.(Also meatos doesn't have petals- unless you consider the bowtie - and would that be considered bald- which is the entire idea of bald i )
But even then, it has a great artstyle, music and gameplay, forming an great game.Pretty short tho. Maybe you could make it longer? or make a chapter 2 with another antagonist?

Hmm i would suggest spam jump and keep walking,
also start running away when u get the last pedal ASAP!!
and take your time on the last note song

If you need a tip, I would suggest trying to manoeuvre around the vine by jumping over it. That will help you gather all the petals in time.
